PHILOSOPHY
Kareena believes that a safe and supportive therapeutic alliance can help clients work through their unconscious conflict, rectify their maladaptive reactions towards themselves and their relationships, and develop healthy coping mechanisms. As a mental health counsellor, Kareena strives to help clients reach their full potential and improve their quality of life by cultivating self-awareness, self- control, and self-knowledge. Kareena’s multicultural identity engendered her commitment to diversity, where she believes that all therapists must recognize and accept that each client is unique, multi-faceted, and has an intersectional identity. Kareena believes that the client’s cultural identity must be acknowledged and respected to create a safe and empowering therapeutic environment.
